Research interests

Excretion of Drugs and Chemicals in Human Milk, Phenylketonuria, Lactation, Nutrition, Tourette Syndrome

Compounds in which we have had an interest are - aspirin, acetaminophen, sulfonamides, caffeine, theobromine, corticosteroids and isonaizid. The laboratory is also interested in the composition of human milk as related to lactation. Recently, the use of microbicides to inactivate the HIV virus in human milk is an active research project.

There is an active clinical program in the diagnosis and treatment of phenylketonuria (PKU)

A major clinical interest is the diagnosis and treatment of Tourette Syndrome (TS).

I have interests in pediatric clinical pharmacology.
